My First Memory

I remember that when I was about 3 or 4 years old I slept in a living room with my mother in front of a Television because the power was out. In the middle of the night, I woke up in the heart of darkness with only dim light from a glowing candle. I sat on the mattress, totally confused, and heard a ghostly noise coming from outside the window. I was very scared

In class, we shared our first memory and discussed about them. Mr. Anthony pointed out some main generalizations about our firs memories. Firstly, most of our first memories occur at about 4 years old; this is because the brain before that is still too plastic to store any memory. Secondly, there are many memories that occurred before this age, this is because the memories were told or seen in a photo. Thirdly, the first memory is almost always very strong emotionally. All of the memories shared in class are either very happy or very sad.
